What is biohacking?
The concept behind biohacking is to optimise your life and your body through biology, science and technology, and holistic approaches to recover faster and more efficiently from ailments.
Biohacking works by focusing on building a positive environment for your mitochondria, in other words, your body’s energy cells, to thrive within. This is because the mitochondria are the batteries that provide energy to every cell in your body. And are easily affected by their environment.
One of the core strategies of biohacking focuses on what we put into our bodies, our surrounding environment, and our daily activities that affect our mood, energy, and productivity.
Even if you haven’t heard of the term biohacking, you are most probably familiar with it in the form of intermittent fasting and plant-based diets.

Monitor your diet:
The stomach is your second brain. What you feed into it affects your physical appearance, overall health, mental health, and emotional health. Adjusting your nutritional intake to include foods good for your gut bacteria, such as natural, high-fibre foods, will help your overall wellbeing. Remember, the focus here is not to count calories but to pay attention to how your diet makes you feel.
Use natural products:
Whilst we are exposed to harmful chemicals and toxins in our daily lives, being mindful of the products we use can help reduce the harmful effects. You can do this by consciously seeking natural cleaning and beauty products.
Improve the quality of your sleep:
one of the most important aspects of maintaining good health and energy is sleep. While we sleep, our cells both repair and rest. Try to create a sleep-friendly environment to improve your quality of sleep. You can do this by reducing the amount of blue light you are exposed to before bed, meditate to relax and let go of any thoughts that may keep you awake, avoid caffeine at night, or sleep with a sleeping mask to create a sleep environment that is dark as possible.
Reduce your stress levels:
The negative impacts of stress on physical, mental, and emotional health have become common knowledge. And while we all experience stress in our day-to-day lives, there are ways to reduce it. Some classic stress-reduction techniques include deep breathing practices, yoga, meditation, and going for walks.
Strength and Movement
